General Manager Responsibilities (GM)

-Oversee all store level operations

-Accountability for large sums of money

-Hire and manage all subordinate staff

-Oversee store level financials (P&L, C/P)

-Manage FOH and BOH operations

-Function proficiently at all FOH/BOH stations

-Perform community product promotion and marketing

-Oversee equipment maintenance schedule (cars, ovens, machinery…etc)

(Other requirements may include but are not limited to; relevant work experience, college degree, foodservice certification(s), customer service experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, POS system fluency, clean background check, understanding of food safety, equipment safety, and sanitation regulations, able to stand or sit for extended periods, able to lift and place up to 75 pounds regularly, able to reach above or below with frequent repetition, able to perform repetitious tasks without issue)

Daily tasks of the General Manager would include but not be limited to the following list:

  1. Direct all management staff using face to face dialog
  2. Observe operational efficiencies to identify staffing level adjustment opportunities
  3. Monitor all daily inventory levels to avoid shortages and/or wasting
  4. Monitor staff behaviors to ensure that food safety and quality standards are achieved
  5. Maintain customer relations through direct verbal interactions and satisfaction inquiries
  6. Enforce employee rules and regulations equally across all groups
  7. Listen to everything and everyone, information is your greatest asset
  8. Lead by example in all aspects of the restaurant, a good staff will emulate its leader
  9. Address and resolve customer complaints with a mutually satisfying gesture
  10. Monitor FOH/BOH business levels and assist associates at stations when needed
  11. Always present yourself in a professional manner
  12. Build professional relationships in the community whenever the opportunity is present
  13. Oversee the proper rotation of all food inventory
