Responsible for handling processes, provides on the job training and supervises the toat-to-day work of a group of associates. Responsible for the overall backroom organization, and shipping and receiving.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive, document and organize all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Control the flow of products between back-stock area and the store, and between off site warehouse and the store
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measurements of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills, invoices, orders or other records. Communicate discrepancies with Distribution Center  Team.
  • Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with Verners to rectify damages and / or shortages.
  • May operate lift truck or hand truck to move or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  • Maintain filing system for all incoming /outgoing shipments for stores and Distribution Centers.
  • Track and follow-up with overdue and expected shipments
  • Maintain fleet vehicles ( maintenance and upkeep)

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • At least 1 year relevant work experience required, company experience preferred
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience required
  • English fluency
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; stores are open 7 days a week and hours vary depending upon location, season, and type of store

  • Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems preferred
