PJ Cheese, Inc (dba Papa John’s Pizza) is seeking a Marketing Manager for the Richmond area of Virginia.  The primary responsibility for this position will be to build and maintain business partnerships that encourage and drive a positive revenue stream development. Must be willing to call on and create business relationships within the community (ie. schools, churches, recreation departments, non-profit groups).   Responsibilities include distributing marketing material to

local businesses, creating relationships with above entities, promoting fundraising opportunities, collecting and analyzing data, social media involvement, and supporting the Marketing and Operations departments.  Proficiency with spreadsheet programs, social media, and design software a must.  Marketing Degree and ability to work with varied demographics a plus.  Sales ability a requirement.

 

Qualifications:

 

·    People Person – good at confidently building relationships

·    Self Motivated – creativity and assertiveness a necessity

·    Technical and Computer proficiency a must

·    Ability to work independently

·    Organization and Time Management Skills required

·    Sales/Marketing experience preferred

Salary:  Salary plus bonus, Car and phone allowance.  $35,000 to $45,000 range

 

Position: 40+ hours a week (generally Mon-Fri..9am to 5pm); – some weekend and evening hours may be required.

Marketing & Sales Manager

 

Job Description and Responsibilities

The LSM’s primary function is to develop and implement local sales building programs with community partners to achieve or exceed sales and profit objectives.

 

Þ  Reports directly to the Regional Marketing Director

Þ  Responsible for the area covering all restaurants within DMA

Þ  Schedule is standard to M-F 9am to 5pm, with exceptions made for special events/meetings

 

Position Criteria

 

1)         Interpersonal Skills – The ability to meet people easily, handle situations calmly, and interact with others in a business but yet friendly and personable manner. The position requires a person who can adapt to different situations, personalities, and opportunities.

 

2)         Availability and Flexibility - Must have flexible hours and reliable transportation. Position requires a standard 40 hour, Monday through Friday work week.  Due to meetings or events, schedule must be manipulated to not only be available for the standard, but include those times to satisfy exceptions, including evening and weekend hours.  Own vehicle is required with relatively good driving record.

 

3)         Company Focused – Commited to meeting the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.  Delivers high level of customer service with intent to benefit company. Continually searches for ways to increase customer satisfaction, resulting in sales growth.

 

4)         Self-Starter and Self-Confident - This person must be a self-starter and have the ability to study the trade areas and develop programs that will drive traffic into the restaurants.  No two trade areas or restaurants will be the same.  One must be assertive enough to identify opportunity situations and develop programs and promotions on their own.  The ability to research, develop, and execute.

 

5)         Appearance – Must maintain an appearance that represents a professional yet friendly image to the community.  Logo shirts will be supplied and be partnered with business attire. Facial piercings and tattoos must be out of plain view.

 

6)         Educated – Technical efficiency required in computer and salesmanship skills. Computer programs in word and spreadsheet documents are used regularly.  Proficiency and speed are necessary to effectively complete tasks.  Social Media and web site building abilities helpful.  Sales techniques in gaining appointments, follow up, and closing deals are required.

 

Essential Duties

 

-     Develop and Implement sales generating programs involving community business partners.

-     Regularly visit and communicate with community partners to drive sales to local restaurants.

-     Develop turnkey LSM materials to fully support LSM programs to eliminate all creative and material development time at the store level.

-     Communicate and work with Store Managers to identify the best sales driving programs being used in their trade areas.

-     Gather materials and detail implementation processes of programs that develop sales opportunities that are relevant to the market.

-     Create and maintain profitable community partnerships that result in positive cash flow to local restaurants.

-    Maintain records in a organized and complete manner utilizing electronic methods

-     Analyze sales results based on sales, transactions, average check, community value, awareness, or other benefits.

-    Plan cost effective printing, packaging, and package pricing of materials/products

-    Provide LSM instruction and guidance to store managers.

-    Weekly reporting of visitation and results

-    Update local social media and website status to reflect community relationships

-    Any other duties that will build relationships and sales throughout our trade area.

 

Associate Duties

 

-    Research other sources for other successful LSM

-     Update LSM program materials and instructions as products, programs, offers, strategies, etc change.

-    Proof for accuracy and approval

-    Assist marketing department with other local marketing events

-    Assist operations departments with marketing and sales building projects

-    Attend meetings within marketing and operational departments

-    Maintain company property
