About this job

Description
HOURLY INVENTORY SUPERVISORS WANTED! ($15.00 to $18.00 per hour)

WIS International is one of the world’s largest inventory service providers, conducting thousands of inventory counts for all types of retailers, including some of the largest in the US. Our business is growing, and we have positions available for hourly Supervisors in our Lansing office.

Inventory Supervisors (IS’s) run inventory counts and lead crews of anywhere between 1 and 20 Inventory Associates (IAs). They also assist in running sub-crews or doing other special duties in some of our larger inventory counts. We conduct counts in a variety of stores, including dollar stores, clothing stores, drug stores, and other specialty stores. Upon completion of training and certification, IS’s earn an extra dollar per hour while running counts.

This is NOT an office or desk job. Our work takes place in our customers’ locations (stores), and the hours vary. Typically our day starts very early (counts may begin as early as 6 AM); or in the evenings, after stores close. Count times vary in length, depending on various factors, but typically our in-store time runs between 5 and 7 hours. There is some pre-inventory and post-inventory work for supervisors that will add some additional time to each job. This varies depending on the size of the job, but can range from anywhere between 30 minutes to a couple of hours.

We are looking for proven supervisors who have had experience leading crews/teams. Experience in retail, fast food, and/or other service industry is highly preferred, but we will consider anyone who is interested and has supervisory experience, provided a resume is submitted. Previous inventory experience is not necessary. We offer paid training; a flexible schedule; and advancement opportunities.

Occasionally you may be driving inventory crews to the job sites (stores) from the office, usually in one of our company vehicles (a minivan or a 12-passenger van). You must have a clean driving record, and be willing to become a Qualified Driver. Qualifications include a clean driving record for the past 2 years, and possessing a valid Drivers’ License for the past 5 years. Background checks and drug screenings are also required for this position.

Only those candidates that submit resumes will be considered for Inventory Supervisor positions. Please send your resume to breuben@wisintl.com; ATTN: Brad (Inventory Supervisor Position).
