Job Summary

This position is an entry level machine operator or an operator that operates and monitors one technical production machine. The position ensures proper procedures are followed and work is productive, safe, and efficient.

Requirements

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 

Previous experience is preferred, BUT willing to train 

Qualifications

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehended simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurements using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Computer Skills:   Working knowledge of computers and be capable of learning the organizations in-house computer system.

Other Skills and Abilities:  Mechanical aptitude

Physical Demands:   Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands.  The employee is occasionally required to walk.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
