BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
  • Maintain and operate all laundry equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain ample supply of clean linen and towels.
  • Load and unload washers and dryers according to load volume standards
  • Inspect for and treat all stains with stain removal procedures
  • Report any equipment malfunction to maintenance immediately.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to):

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with guests, vendors, co-workers and management.
  • Wash, dry, fold and sort all hotel linen and towels per Executive Housekeeper’s instructions.
  • Properly use all soaps, chemicals and equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Supply Front Desk with linens and amenities for after hour use, as directed.
  • Clean exterior of all machines daily.
  • Clean dryer lint screens  and drain traps twice daily or as needed
  • Sweep and mop laundry floor daily
  • Maintain laundry carts and racks.
  • Follow proper key control procedures for issued keys
  • Practice safe work habits
  • Clean guest rooms as directed by Executive Housekeeper while maintaining standards.
  • Ability to move luggage, packages or furniture weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Perform any other reasonable task that is requested by management.

NOTICE:  The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.  All associates must acknowledge this and be aware that at any time it may be necessary to move associates from his/her accustomed shift as business demands.
