Large privately owned company in the Fairfield-Hamilton area is seeking an Accountant.  This professional will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to exercise good judgement, and handle confidential information.  We need someone with a broad range of experience and skills including, a strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), QuickBooks, payroll, accounts payable, Insurance Company billing processes, and vendor communications.

Essential Functions of Position

* Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions.

* Collect and analyze account information to determine and reconcile financial discrepancies.

* Verify invoices and documents and prepare payments.

* Prepare all unemployment, bureau of worker's comp, local, and state quarterly filings.

* Compile and prepare payroll data.

* Ability to develop comprehensive auditing procedures for electronic billing and receivables of large volume of insurance and state billing.

* Oversight of monthly claims to insurance and state agencies.

* Track claims for processing and payment.

* Monitor, track, trend and document all unpaid Insurance and agency balances.

* Work with Insurance companies as necessary to resolve claim/system issues.

* Assist facility with responses to requests from Insurance Companies for claims processing.

 * Submit monthly summary reports.

* Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

* Degreed professional in accounting or related area.

* Strong general accounting skills.

* Highly organized and detail oriented.

* Ability to multitask, research, analyze, and reconcile accounts.

* Excellent Quickbooks experience

* Ability to maintain all accounting files using accepted accounting principles.

* Candidate should have prior experience in billing insurance.

* Demonstrate ability to set up audit and tracking system for large scale Insurance billing.
