About this job

To manage and be responsible for all beverage service in all areas of the hotel.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain standards of food and beverage quality and guest service quality.

  • Do weekly schedules within budgeted standards making sure to control overtime.

  • Supervise and communicate with all personnel the hotel standards of excellence in product and service.

  • Train and supervise all personnel in specific areas according to hotel standards.

  • Responsible for overall cleanliness of the restaurant/bar.

  • Performs monthly inventory, pricing and extension.

  • Coordinates and promotes live entertainment.

  • Develops and implements special events and promotions to increase sales.

  • Objectively scrutinizes beverage outlet operations and suggests and implements resolutions to ongoing problems.

  • Maintains liquor par levels through proper ordering.

  • Assists in staff recruiting, hiring, disciplining and evaluating.

  • Assists in special projects as assigned by management.

  • Checks and secures all monies generated in food & beverage related areas.

  • Reduces liquor liabilities in beverage service through controls such as carding, smart tape presentations, cutting-off intoxicated individuals, etc.

  • Maintains and submits purchase orders for beverage service supplies to meet business demands.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times in accordance with hotel Standards of Grooming and Standards of Conduct.

  • Perform any duty requested of you by your supervisor.

  • Must always make guest satisfaction a priority within the guidelines of the hotel. Be willing to assist in any other department/task that may ask for his/her assistance.
