ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 


THE GUEST ATIENDANT IS EITHER A PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME POSITION DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION. GUEST ATIENDANTS NEED TO BE SALES MINDED PERSONS WHO ENJOY MEETING AND GREETING POTENTIAL GUESTS. MOST VISITORS TO OUR PROPERTY KNOW UTILE ABOUT THE VALUE PLACE CONCEPT OF EXTENDED STAY HOTELS. GUEST ATIENDANTS NEED TO BE OUTGOING, FRIENDLY, PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO SELL.

GUEST ATTENDANT DUTIES: DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW: 

  • Process Reservations, registrations, and extensions based on availability obtaining all necessary information and payments within established standards while also creating sales leads. The Guest Attendant performs as a Front Desk Clerk servicing Guests.
  • Perform various Guest Services, taking and posting payments, answering the phone, responding to Guest Service Requests, Making Keys, etc.
  • Greeting Visitors and Vendors, give tours, make phone calls to Local Businesses and perform other Direct Marketing Activities under the direction of the Property Manager
  • Sells value of the Value Place Product to all reservation inquiries, striving to convert to confirmed reservations or to new in-house guests.
  • Complies with all safety and security polices in accordance with Value Place Standards
  • Involves cross training in Laundry and other areas
  • Perform other job duties as requested by Supervisors

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • High School Education or Equivalent

Qualifications

  • Prefer one year experience in hotel or apartment operations and knowledge of lodging point of sale system. Excellent communication skills needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
