Mechanical Aftermarket Engineer
The individual filling this role will be based in Arlington, TX with the general responsibility of creating solid models and drawings within Solidworks and Inventor for aftermarket support of solids-liquid separation equipment.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Create solid models in Solidworks.
Create detailed fabrication or machined drawings of the individual components from the models.
Create part records and bills of material in SAP.
Assist in reverse engineering of parts.
Research reference bills of material and create disassemble/clean/inspect forms defining the dimensions that must be checked and the allowable tolerances.
Research old drawing, manuals, bills of material to assist field service personnel and service centers.
The person in this role will report to the Service Engineering Manager. Key interaction will be with members of engineering, field sales, field service, and manufacturing (plant manager/GM and actual shop floor personnel). The candidate will need to be self motivated and able to handle/coordinate multiple assignments at the same time. Some travel required.
Requirements:
BSME required. 2-5 yrs experience.
CAD skills required: Fluent in Solidworks, AutoCAD/Inventor a strong plus.
Design experience with rotating equipment a plus
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite software.
Knowledge of business operating systems such as SAP
Good understanding of common GD&T practice is necessary.
