We are currently looking for caring, patient, compassionate and reliable Caregivers and CNAs who have a genuine interest in working with senior citizens and others in need of assistance.
The ideal candidate for either of these positions will possess the following:
- 1+ years experience in the non-medical in-home care field dealing with seniors
- A love for the senior community
- A compassionate, upbeat attitude
- Good English and communication skills
- A strong commitment to reliability and ethical behavior
- Ability to perform light housework, prepare meals, run errands, etc. for clients as needed
- Ability to work on an hourly basis, 12 hour shifts (either AM or PM,) or a 24-hour live-in shift for clients needing constant attention (live-ins are highly sought after!)
Requirements
Visiting Angels would like the best applicants in the Rosenberg- Rishmond area who are willing to assist with personal care, companionship, errands, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping for elderly patients.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have 2 years verifiable experience working with the elderly and disabled in a nursing home, assisted living, hospital or private duty.
- Valid Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance
- Must have access to reliable personal transportation
- 21+ years old
- Will require TB test in past 12 months
- Ability to return messages within 15 minutes
- Must pass criminal background check
- Social Security Card
- Good English and Communications skills
- A Compassionate upbeat attitude
- Authorized to work in US
