Shift Supervisor - Full-time

We have a full-time opening for a Shift Supervisor.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.

Wage: 18+ DOE (+ .50 shift diff for nights)

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Organize and delegate tasks to employees
· Ensure that extruders are running optimal and product is up to quality standards
· Organize and communicate between departments
· Ensure that personnel are working efficiently and effectively through follow-up and training
· Shop organization to ensure the flow of production and machine preparedness
· Training of personnel
· Recording of shop logs and personnel information
· Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Shift: Need for both shifts: 10am-10pm and 10pm- 10am

Skills/Requirements:
· Mathematical aptitude
· Ability to read measuring devices such as ruler, caliper, dial indicator, micrometer and scale
· Manual dexterity and ability to use all hand tools in order to set up and operate extruder
· Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50-100 pounds. (Over 50 lbs. with an assist)
· Frequent standing, walking and lifting
· 2-5 years experience as a sheet extruder operator and 5 years as a supervisor
· Experience in some kind of plastic field
· Excellent knowledge of operational, mechanical and electrical aspects of a sheet extrusion
operation
· Able to manage, motivate, train, communicate with both employees and management
· Broad knowledge of equipment, production, material handling and quality control with safety
considerations
· Willing to work on production lines and troubleshoot/maintain equipment
· Regular and punctual attendance

Education Requirements:
· High school diploma/GED minimum
· Fork lift certification a plus
· Basic computer skills a plus
