Takers

Taker Responsibilities Include:

  • Adhering to and upholding the Burger 21 Culture, Vision and Principles as outlined in orientation and on the Burger 21 Culture Card, achieving our mission of providing the best burger experience. Ever.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality with information or knowledge considered sensitive or confidential in nature.
  • Maintaining a positive rapport with all team members, vendors and other company team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
  • Reporting to work on time each day and complying with uniform standards.
  • Performing all duties in a timely, effective and proficient manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the expected results of the position responsibilities.
  • Demonstrating effective communication and follow-up skills at all times.
  • Possessing an extensive knowledge of the menu.
  • Taking guest orders and entering orders in the Point of Sale (POS) system with accuracy, repeating the entire order back to each guest.
  • Guiding guests through the ordering process, suggestively selling, highlighting features and informing guests about the Sauce Bar.
  • Complying with local alcoholic beverage laws.
  • Processing secondary orders taken by Movers (as needed).
  • Performing opening, running and closing side work assignments, like restocking station according to par levels (beer cooler, etc.) and maintaining a sanitary station, following proper food safety procedures.
  • Being aware of the cost of supplies and proper handling procedures.
  • Reporting any guest concerns to management immediately, handling any improper orders and guest complaints with a sense of urgency.
  • Keeping manager informed of all matters pertaining to area of responsibility, taking prompt action to resolve problems and suggesting alternative solutions or actions when necessary.
  • Attending and participating in on-going training sessions. Reading shift notes and attending shift meetings.
  • Performing tasks as assigned by management.
